Sorry I did not post a Freebie Friday this week. We were without internet for a few days. A few days!!! Eeek! You don’t realize how much you depend on something until it’s gone.
We had our moving sale Saturday. It was a crazy, draining, and profitable day. We made over $2900!!!! Can you believe it? If you’re interested, click over to Thrifty Mommy for more details. I’ll also be posting some yard sale tips this Friday (hopefully!).
I was driving yesterday and got into the turning lane so that I could turn into the bank. I was so shocked when I van was coming at me at about 40 mph. I had to jerk back out of the turning lane into the regular lane. Thankfully, no one was beside me. It’s obvious the lady was using the turning lane for a merging/accelerating lane. Geesh! I’m thankful we weren’t involved in a head-on collision. It’s just one more time to thank God for keeping us all safe.
Someone sent me an email this week asking my favorite childhood show. Lots of shows ran through my mind, including Dukes of Hazard, Wonder Woman, and The Flintstones. I really enjoyed watching The Facts of Life. I found an old video clip on YouTube. Hope you enjoy it!
It has been a rough 18 hours or so. Last night I started feeling a bit ill with a headache that started in my right eye. It later progressed to the rest of my head.
I decided to go to bed early last night, thinking that some extra rest would be just the thing to make me feel better. I remember waking up at 1:30 and one other time with a headache and going back to sleep easily. This was not the case when I awoke at 5:45 am. When I awoke at 5:45, the pain was horrible. It was migraine type pain.
I wrestled around in my mind with what to do. If I took anything strong, then I would have to eat something and I certainly didn’t want to do that. I finally decided to take an Alleve with some juice. I squinted my way through the house, barely opening my eyes because the pain was too horrible.
I returned to bed hoping to fall back asleep quickly but couldn’t because of the pain and being cold. Again, I wrestled around in my mind with what to do. By then, the pain was too bad to even move. After about 30 minutes, I reluctantly woke up my husband and asked for his assistance. He got me the hot pack and blanket I had requested and I was able to go back to sleep easily.
This morning wasn’t much better. I had to eat some cereal so that I could take the ibuprofen I had been wanting. My husband was home for most of the morning, so he was able to take our daughter to school and help care for our 2-year-old.
Here it is after 1 pm. I am still in my pajamas and I have done nothing with my child today. I finally ate a few bites of lunch, sipped on a little caffeinated soda, and am starting to feel a bit better.
