post NBC Rejects Super Bowl Ad

NBC rejected this Super Bowl ad. Wouldn’t it be cool if we used our websites to spread this message anyway? The message would still become known, we would show that it’s important, and it wouldn’t cost the sponsors millions of dollars.

post Obama Makes Lawyer for Terri Schiavo’s Husband Third-Ranking Justice Official

January 7th, 2009

Filed under: politics — Karen @ 12:55 pm

I remember a few years ago emailing Governor Jeb Bush and petitioning for Terri Schiavo’s life to be spared.  Terri was alive.  Yes, she couldn’t eat on her own and she couldn’t walk, but that doesn’t mean that they had to kill her.  I have a friend with a handicapped child and he can’t eat on his own or walk.  Does that mean it’s ok to kill him too?

No matter your political affiliation, this is disturbing.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) – Barack Obama has named the lawyer who represented Terri Schiavo’s husband Michael in his efforts to kill his disabled wife as the third highest attorney in the Justice Department. Thomas Perrelli, who won an award for representing Schiavo’s former husband, had served on Obama’s transition team.

post Obama: Style Over Substance

November 2nd, 2008

Filed under: politics — Karen @ 11:01 pm

Words don’t matter. Glib is what works. Style is cultivated. A smooth voice that glides over the top of words, served up with a charming smile. The package delivered to voters is beautiful. Inside? Inside the Obama package, unwrapped after the election, what can we expect?

post 143 Days in Senate?

June 2nd, 2008

Filed under: politics — Karen @ 5:35 pm

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That’s how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.  –Cheri Jacobus

143 days?  Seriously?  I really don’t understand why people are so passionately rallying behind him.  What has he done?

I even did some searching, trying to find out what this man has done.  I actually found a forum where people were asking the same thing.  People just don’t know what Obama has been doing that would make him qualified to be our next President.

I came across this interesting article, as well as these videos.
