Revka of The Porch Light has chosen me to complete the interesting 10-20-30 meme created by author Mary DeMuth whom you can find at Relevant blog. She wants to know what I was doing 10, 20, and 30 years ago.
10 years ago I was 23 years ago. I was married and completing my student teaching in South Carolina. We were so poor and I was happy to finally be finishing my education.
20 years ago I was 13 years ago. I was in 8th grade. lol In 8th grade I got my first permanent in my hair. That was when the style was the spiral perms with big bangs. heeheehee I was also in an honors band class. That’s about all I remember.
30 years ago I was 3 years old. I don’t remember anything, but I’m sure my days were care free. I probably enjoyed playing outside, staying home with my mom, and playing with being beaten up by my older brother. Oh, and I’ve always loved cats, so I’m sure I did then too.
I’d like to know what the following bloggers were doing 10, 20, and 30 years ago: Kelly, Tanyetta, Julie, Char, and Angie. As always, if you don’t have the time, please don’t worry about it.

Deadly wildfires in Cailfornia have triggered the largest evacuation in state history. More than 1,600 homes have been destroyed. At least 431,000 acres have been burned and the fire is believed to have been started by arsonists.

Thousands of people have lost their homes and firefighters have died. Let’s keep California and our firefighters in our thoughts and prayers.

half a 15-ounce can 100% pure pumpkin (1 cup minus 2 tbs)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
3/4 cup water
1 3/4 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 3/4 cup bleached all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 350 degrees.
Heat pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a small saucepan over medium heat until steamy. Stirring continuously, cook until pumpkin is stiff and starts to stick to the pan bottom, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl; whisk in 3/4 cup water, then brown sugar, then oil, then eggs until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining dry ingredients, then fold into the pumpkin mixture until just combined. Scrape batter into 3 greased miniature disposable loaf pans (or one 9-inch pan). Bake until firm and golden brown, about 50 minutes for miniature loaves and about 70 minutes for a large loaf.
Let bread stand for a few minutes. Turn onto a wire rack and cool to room temperature. Slice and serve. Recipe doubles easily and freezes well.
Makes 3 mini loaves or 1 9-inch loaf.
